Richmond Police detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify the individuals in the picture, who are suspects in a shooting that occurred in the city’s east end.
At approximately 8:05 p.m. on December 19, officers were
called to the 1600 block of Spotsylvania Street for a report of a person shot.
When they arrived, they found a juvenile male suffering from an apparent
gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening
injuries.
Preliminary investigation quickly revealed the shooting
occurred in the 1500 block of Mechanicsville Turnpike. Prior to the incident,
four individuals involved were captured on surveillance video as was a vehicle
of interest, which is seen parking at the beginning of the video.
Anyone with information about any of these individuals is
asked to call Major Crimes Detective Jamie Baynes at 646-3617 or Crime
Stoppers at 780-1000. Citizens may also text Crime Stoppers at 274637,
using the key word “ITip” followed by your tip. Both Crime Stoppers methods are
anonymous.
