The Richmond Police Department has identified the victim of a homicide that occurred this morning in Highland Terrace.
At approximately 6:12 a.m., officers were called to the 1000
block of Highland View Avenue near Veranda Avenue for a report of a person
down. Djan R. Robinson, 36, of Richmond, was found lying in the roadway
suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Major Crimes detectives responded to the scene, canvassed the area and are pursuing all available leads in the case.
