A Richmond man was arrested this morning in connection with
an arson that occurred last summer on Clarkson Road.
Brandon S. Brown, 22, of the 3200 block of Logandale
Avenue, has been charged with arson and attempted murder. His booking photo
will be released when it becomes available.
At approximately 8:32 p.m. on August 9, the Richmond Fire
Department responded to a call in the 1400 block of Clarkson Road, and found a
fire burning inside an apartment. Officers from the Richmond Police Department
responded to assist.
Investigation revealed that Brown reportedly set the fire
inside the home after locking a woman inside another room of the apartment. The
woman managed to escape the building uninjured.
