Within 24 hours of a homicide Saturday night that took the
life of a young girl, the Richmond Police Department has arrested two men in
connection with the case.
Dwight Q. Jackson, 20, of the 500 Windomere Avenue,
and Shaquille D. Maxwell, 20, of the 700 block of Windomere Avenue, were
taken into custody Sunday night by the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task
Force. They have each been charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
Photos are not being provided at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
At approximately 9:28 p.m. Saturday, December 19, officers
were called to the 4900 block of Old Brook Road for a report of a person shot.
Upon arrival, they located Amiya Moses, 12, of the 1400 block of Treehaven
Drive, at the rear of the building suffering from an apparent gunshot
wound. She was transported to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her
injuries.
