Raven Street Death Investigations and Aggravated Assault x2
Yesterday at approximately 11:10 p.m., officers were called to the 1900 block of Raven Street for the report of a shooting. Officers arrived and were notified that several individuals had been shot and had been transported to VCU Medical Center by personal vehicles.
Officers arrived at the hospital and, with the assistance of VCU Police, began the investigation of the four males who had been shot. A juvenile male, 15, of Richmond, was pronounced dead last night at the hospital. An adult male who had suffered an injury that was considered life threatening succumbed to his injury earlier today. A juvenile male, 14, and an adult male were treated for wounds that were not considered life threatening.
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of the deaths.
Detectives are investigating reports of altercations among a large gathering of people in the outdoor area of Raven Street in the Mosby neighborhood prior to the shootings.
