Police detectives need the public’s help to identify the man in the photos who is suspected of robbing two city
businesses since Monday.
Around
10:30 a.m. this morning, the suspect entered the Metro PCS store, located at
6838 Midlothian Turnpike, displayed a knife and demanded money from the clerk.
He then fled on foot east on Midlothian Turnpike.
On Monday morning around 11:49 a.m., officers responded to the Boost Mobile store, located at 6333 Jahnke Road, for a report of a robbery. A black male suspect had entered the store twice within the hour, robbing the store on his second visit.
The
suspect briefly spoke to the clerk about phones when he initially entered the
store around 11:06 a.m. He returned around 11:44 a.m., walking behind the
counter and demanded money from the clerk. He fled southbound on Jahnke Road
toward Food Lion.
Prior to the incident, the suspect is seen on surveillance video arriving at the store in a dark-colored, 4-door sedan. He was also caught on surveillance video at a nearby store.
The suspect is described as a black male with a dark complexion, age 24-28, standing about 5’7” tall and weighing 140-160 pounds. He is bald with metallic fillings on his front teeth. At the time of Monday’s robbery, he wore a black hoodie with white lining, black sweatpants and tan work boots. During this morning’s incident, he was wearing a dark, short-sleeved, button-down shirt, dark shorts and tan work boots.
