Richmond Police
Department detectives have identified Habeeb A. Hafeed, 30, of the 1800
block of North 30th Street, as the victim of a homicide that
occurred early this morning in the city’s east end.
Just after 12:30
a.m. today, Hafeed was outside of his business in the 1800 block of North 30th
Street when the sound of gunfire was heard. Hafeed fell to the ground and was
pronounced dead on scene of an apparent gunshot wound. The business was closed
at the time of the incident.
