A Richmond man arrested last Friday is now facing multiple
charges in connection to four bank robberies in the city and Henrico County.
Carroll B. Gammon Jr, 40, who is known to be homeless,
was arrested on September 16, following a bank robbery on West Cary Street. He
is charged with two counts of robbery related to two incidents in the city.
Henrico County Police have also charged him in two recent robberies. His
booking photo is attached.
On September 16, a man, later identified as Gammon, entered
the Union Bank & Trust located at 3556 W. Cary Street and demanded money
from the tellers. The suspect was seen getting into a vehicle that was stopped
by police a short time later. He was taken into custody without incident.
Three days earlier, around 12:45 p.m. on September 13, a man
entered the Wells Fargo bank located at 801 E. Main Street and demanded money
from the tellers. He claimed to be armed; however, no firearm was displayed.
The suspect stole cash and fled on foot.
