Victim Identified in Hunt Avenue Homicide Investigation
Richmond Police detectives have identified the victim in the Hunt Avenue homicide investigation as Johnnita Russell, 34, of Richmond.
Yesterday at approximately 9:33 p.m., officers were called to the 500 block of Hunt Avenue for the report of a person shot. Officers arrived and located an adult female, Russell, inside of a residence suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
