Victim Identified in North 21st Street Homicide Investigation
Yesterday at approximately 11:17 p.m., Richmond Police Department officers were called to the 1500 block of North 21st Street for the report of a person shot. Officers arrived and located an adult female, Florence McCrea, 56, of Richmond, down and unresponsive inside of an apartment. She had suffered an apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
Detectives with the RPD Major Crimes unit responded and interviewed individuals at the apartment building for information regarding this shooting. The investigation continues.
