Man Sought in 4 Bank Robberies






Richmond Police need the public’s help in identifying the man seen in the five photos below. He robbed the BB&T Bank, located at 5711 Patterson Ave., on Tuesday, March 16, at 3:47 p.m.

But he is also suspected of robbing three other banks in the region.

During yesterday’s robbery, the man handed the teller a note demanding money, but did not display a weapon.

He is also suspected of robbing a local bank in Spotsylvania County on Tuesday, March 9. Three hours later that same day, Richmond Police investigators believe he robbed the Wachovia Bank at 315 Libbie Ave. in the city at 2:14 p.m.

Additionally, he’s also suspected of robbing a Wachovia Bank in Colonial Heights on Friday, March 5.

The robber is described as a white male, 20 to 30 years of age, 5’6” and weighing 140 pounds to 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a light sweatshirt, a tan baseball cap and jeans.
