7-Eleven/McDonald’s Robber Sought

Richmond Police detectives need the public’s help to identify the man in the attached photos who is suspected of robbing two businesses last night.

The first robbery occurred at the 7-Eleven convenience store at 2922 Jefferson Davis Highway at approximately 5 p.m.  A few hours later, a man robbed the McDonald’s at 6850 Forest Hill Ave. at approximately 7:40 p.m. Though the robber did not display a weapon in either crime, he implied that he had one.

Detectives believe the same man committed both robberies. The man in both robberies is described as a dark-skinned black male in his mid-30s, weighing approximately 200 to 220 pounds, with a low hair cut, no facial hair and a medium to heavy build.

The man was seen leaving the scene of both incidents driving a brown-colored SUV, possibly a Ford Explorer or Expedition.

Anyone with any information about the man is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000 or text Crime Stoppers at 274637, using the key word “ITip” followed by your tip. Both methods are anonymous.
