RPD to Introduce Body-Worn Cameras

WHAT:                        Mayor Jones and Chief Durham Address RPD Body-Worn Cameras

WHERE:                      RPD Headquarters, 200 W. Grace Street

BACKGROUND:          Mayor Dwight C. Jones and Chief Alfred Durham will introduce body-worn cameras within the Richmond Police Department this week. 

The pilot phase and eventual roll-out to all patrol officers as well as officer training on both types of Taser brand cameras acquired by the Department will be discussed. A demonstration of body-worn camera operations will also be conducted.

The media and the general public are encouraged to attend.
