Suspect Sought in Carytown Commercial Robbery

The Richmond Police Department is seeking information about a commercial robbery that occurred this afternoon in the Carytown shopping district. 

Shortly after 1:30 p.m. today, a man entered the Petco store at the intersection of Cary and Nansemond Streets and gave the cashier a note demanding money from the cash drawer. No weapon was displayed.


The suspect fled store on foot, got into a vehicle and drove off eastbound on Floyd Ave.
Witnesses describe the vehicle as a green, late model Honda van with an inactive license plate. (Photo attached.)

The suspect is described as a white male, six feet tall, between 25 and 30 years of age, wearing a camouflage hat, dark-colored jacket and jeans. (Photo attached.)
