The Richmond
Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred yesterday evening
on the city’s south side.
At
approximately 10:09 p.m., Saturday, November 17, RPD officers were called to
the 3400 block of Maury Street block for a report of a shooting. They located
the body of Demon Booker, 31, of 1600 block of Skilift Court, in a parking lot
of the Village South apartment complex.
He had been
shot.
RPD
detectives are asking for help from the public as they investigate this
killing. Forensic evidence has been collected and is being processed. A
door-to-door canvass of the neighborhood has been conducted, but more
information is needed.
