At approximately 6:26 p.m., officers were called to the 3500 block of East Broad Rock Road for a report of a person down. Officers arrived and found an adult female in a structure, down and unresponsive, suffering from injuries from an assault. She was pronounced dead at the scene. An adult male is in custody.
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
