Richmond Police detectives have identified the victim in last Friday’s homicide on East Belt Boulevard as Herbert Thompson, Jr., 20, of Richmond.
At approximately 6:13 p.m., August 6, Richmond Police responded to the 1700 block of East Belt Boulevard for a shooting. Officers arrived on scene and located an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second victim, an adult female transported in a private vehicle to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.
Medical Examiner will determine manner and cause of death.
