Victim Identified in Midlothian Turnpike Death
Investigation
Richmond Police detectives have identified the victim in
yesterday’s fatal shooting as Steven Johnson, 44, of Henrico County.
At approximately 12:01 p.m. on June 23, officers
responded to the 4000 block of Midlothian Turnpike for a report of a
shooting. Upon arrival, officers located Johnson suffering from an apparent
gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed
to his injuries.
The Medical Examiner will determine the manner and cause of
death.
