Brookland Parkway Attempted Robber Sought

The Richmond Police Department needs the public’s help in locating the man who tried to rob three women at gunpoint yesterday afternoon.

Just after 3 p.m. Tuesday, a man entered a residence in the 1200 block of Brookland Parkway through an unlocked door and tried to rob three women inside at gunpoint. He also struck one woman in the head and then ran from the residence, last seen running toward the 2900 block of Northumberland Avenue.

He is described as a black male with a dark complexion and short hair, 20 to 25 years old, approximately 5’8” to 5’10” and weighing 180 pounds to 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, dark blue cargo shorts and white tennis shoes.

Robber of Students Charged

Richmond Police investigators have arrested and charged a man with robbing four John Marshall High School students at gunpoint on Friday.

Travon C. Williams, 18, of the 200 block of Minor Street, has been charged with multiple counts of robbery, attempted robbery and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He surrendered to police today.

Williams is charged with robbing two juvenile males and an adult male at gunpoint and attempting to rob a juvenile female at 6:45 a.m. on Friday as they waited to catch the school bus in the 2500 block of North Avenue.

Quick Bank Robbery Arrest

At 9:06 a.m. today, Richmond Police received a call about a bank robbery on West Broad Street.

At 9:18 a.m.—12 minutes later—the robber was in custody.

Thanks to an alert bank teller and quick action by several officers, James B. Clarke, 60, of no fixed address, was arrested without incident and charged with robbery.

This morning Clarke slipped a teller a note demanding money, but did not display a weapon. Another teller at the Wachovia Bank, 4901 W. Broad St., recognized Clarke as the same man who robbed the bank Dec. 2, 2009.

The teller called police and Third Precinct officers spotted the man nearby and arrested him.

Clarke will also be charged with the Dec. 2 robbery, which also occurred at 9:06 a.m. A surveillance photo from that robbery is below.

Quick Robbery Arrests

Shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday, four people were robbed at gunpoint as they walked in the 800 block of Norton Street.

Within minutes of the robbery, Richmond Police stopped the getaway vehicle in the 2000 block of Chamberlayne Avenue and arrested the five individuals inside.

Romique R. Radcliffe, 19, of the 4000 block of Mallard Creek Circle, and Bianca D. Walker, 18, of the 3900 block of Meadowview Lane, were charged with armed robbery. Three other juvenile offenders were also arrested and charged.

The arrest yielded a total of 32 felonies charged, the recovery of three firearms and may lead to further arrests.

Food Mart and Deli Robber Sought

The Richmond Police
Department needs the public’s help in identifying the man in the three attached photos.

At about 11:30 p.m. Monday, he entered the Food Mart and Deli, at 11 Erich Road, and robbed the business. The male implied to the clerk that he was armed and demanded money.

The male is described as 25 to 35 years of age with a dark complexion, about 6’0”, weighing 160 to 170 pounds and was last seen wearing a dark hoodie and a baseball cap with an unknown white emblem on the front.
