The Richmond Police Department has identified the victim in the South Side homicide that occurred late yesterday afternoon.
At 4:20 p.m. officers responded to a shooting in the 3000 block of Columbia Street. When officers arrived, they found Adl Musa Johnson, 22, lying on a sidewalk with an apparent gunshot wound. Johnson, who lived in the 1900 block of Raven Street, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers caught and detained a possible suspect several blocks away from the homicide and he is being held for questioning. The investigation is ongoing.
