The Richmond Police Department has arrested a Richmond man in connection with the March homicide of David Briggs.
Alexander
S. Briggs, 19, of the 2400 block of Flint Street, was arrested
Tuesday and charged with conspiracy to commit murder. He is not related
to the victim.
At
approximately 1:38 p.m. on March 29, officers responded to the 2100 block of
Bradford Road for a report of a person shot. They located David L. Briggs,
28, of the 3400 block of Frank Road, lying on the ground with an apparent
gunshot wound. Briggs was transported to a local hospital where he died of his
wounds.
On
Monday, December 1, officers working in the area of Ruffin Road observed
Alexander Briggs, who was wanted in connection with the homicide. He attempted
to flee from the officers, but was taken into custody without incident.
