Man Sought in Snead Road Homicide

Richmond Police Department detectives need the public’s assistance to locate a male who is suspected of being involved in a homicide that occurred last month.

Detectives are attempting to locate Darnell D. Lee, Jr., 30, of Richmond. His photo is attached. 

At approximately 4:12 p.m., officers were called to the 5000 block of Snead Road for a report of shots fired and a person down. They arrived to find Brian M. King, 24, of the 4000 block of Mallard Creek Circle in Chesterfield County, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound in a courtyard at the apartment complex. 

 The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. He later succumbed to his injuries.

Lee is described as a 6’2” tall, black male with a medium complexion, brown hair and brown eyes, who weighs approximately 165 pounds.

Lee is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Anyone who sees him should call police immediately.
