One Arrest in Weekend Disturbance at Huguenot High School.

A disturbance following a dance competition this weekend at Huguenot High School resulted in one arrest.

Falan Brown, 36, of the 1000 block of E. Lexington Avenue, High Point, N.C.,
was arrested for brandishing a handgun at the school. She was charged with:
·         Simple assault
·         Brandishing a firearm
·         Carrying a firearm on school grounds.

At approximately 6:30 p.m., Saturday, March 23, RPD officers were called to the school for a report of a person brandishing a weapon. When they arrived, they encountered a fight occurring among participants in a dance competition. Officers were able to end the disturbance.

As a precaution, officers conducted a search of the school and found no additional threats.

Several people received minor injuries as a result of the commotion. They were treated at the scene. One person was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
