Enforcement Officer – felony (paintball)
The first
Unlawful Assembly Announcement was made at 10:25 p.m. to the crowd gathered
inside the circle at the Lee Monument after an officer was shot several minutes
earlier by a paintball. Several other officers were subsequently shot by
paintballs and struck by other hard objects. One of those officers was
transported to the hospital – treated and released - for a possible head
injury/concussion.
One RPD
officer deployed pepper spray. No RPD officer deployed tear gas.
