Thanks to tips from the public, officers
arrested a shooting suspect shortly after the incident early Saturday morning.
The shooting occurred at 12:39 a.m.
Saturday, July 18, in the 1900 block of West Main Street. The victim was taken
to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Officers dispatched to the call quickly
tracked down the suspect's vehicle and arrested Devon D. Saunders.
Saunders is charged with use of firearm in commission of a felony and attempted
murder.
