Midlothian Turnpike Homicide – Victim Identified, Arrest Made

Richmond Police detectives have identified the victim of a homicide last Thursday at a home on Midlothian Turnpike as Patrick Washington, a male in his late 50s. Danis Wilson, a male in his early 40s, was arrested the same day for the fatal shooting.

Shortly before 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, 2020, officers were called to a residence in the 3400 block of Midlothian Turnpike for a report of a person shot. When they arrived, they found Washington with a gunshot wound.  He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died. 

Richmond Police detectives charged Wilson with voluntary manslaughter and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
