Female Identified in Chamberlayne Avenue Death Investigation
Richmond Police Department detectives have identified the female who was found down and unresponsive on Chamberlayne Avenue last week as Chaka Campbell, 39, of Richmond.
At approximately 7:37 p.m. on Monday, March 13, officers were called to the 4300 block of Chamberlayne Avenue for the report of a female down. Officers arrived and located an adult female, Campbell, down in an alley. She was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no obvious signs of trauma and the cause of death is still being determined.
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
