Deforrest Street Homicide Investigation
The juvenile male, 16, of Henrico, who was injured in a shooting in the Whitcomb Court neighborhood yesterday has today succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Yesterday at approximately 5:38 p.m., officers were called to the 2100 block of Deforrest Street for the report of a person shot. Officers arrived and found the juvenile male down on a sidewalk. He was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were considered life-threatening.
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
