Arrest Made in Coalter Street Homicide Investigation
Richmond Police detectives, with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force, have made an arrest in connection with the homicide that occurred in May on Coalter Street.
On
November 6, detectives arrested Adwin Zuri, 38, of Charles City.
He has been charged with first-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. His booking photo is attached.
At approximately 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 18, officers were called to the 1300 block of Coalter Street for the report of a shooting. Officers arrived and located an adult male, Terrance Smith, 43, of Richmond, inside a residence suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Smith succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
