Suspects Wanted in McDonald's Armed Robbery

Richmond Police needs the public’s help identifying and locating the two men responsible for last week’s armed robbery of the McDonald’s at 6801 Forest Hill Ave.

Around 6 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, two masked gunmen entered the restaurant and robbed the business. The suspects left the parking lot in a white car, possibly a Honda or a Toyota. They drove east on Forest Hill and turned on Leicester Road.

The suspects are two black males. One is about 24 or 25 years old, 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. He wore a white hooded sweatshirt and a black scarf. The other male, no approximate age, is shorter and heavier than the other suspect. He wore a black ski mask over his face.

Surveillance video from the McDonald’s showing the suspects during the robbery accompanies this advisory.

Anyone with information about the suspects wanted in this armed robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.

Narcotics Investigators Make Good Arrests and Seizures

After undercover investigation, Richmond Police narcotics investigators searched a home Wednesday and arrested two people after finding a large amount of drugs, cash and guns.

Just before 1 p.m. Wednesday, investigators entered a home in the 1700 block of West Moore Street. There they found and seized:

- four handguns

- approximately 10 pounds of marijuana,

- $33,010,

- flat screen TV,

- laptop computer,

- digital scales,

- documents, and

- a surveillance system

Homeowner Troy A. Beckett, 40, of the 1700 block of West Moore Street, has been charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana with a firearm.

Kenyan A. Thompson, 32, of Brooklyn, New York, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and probation violation.

Rite Aid Robber Sought

Richmond Police needs the public’s help to identify the man in the below surveillance photos who is wanted in connection with the armed robbery of a Rite Aid on Friday.

At approximately 3:30 p.m. Friday, a clerk reported the store was robbed at gunpoint. Investigators believe the robber had been in the store for about 40 minutes prior to the robbery pretending to shop.

The robber is described as a black male, about 5’10 to 6’0 feet tall and weighing about 180 to 200 pounds. He was last seen heading west on Hull Street.

Homicide Suspect Arrested

The U.S. Marshal Service and Richmond Police have found and arrested a second man wanted in connection with an October homicide.

Calvin R. Williams, 21, of Highland Springs, was taken into custody this morning.

He has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder in connection with the shooting of Brandon T. Thomas around 7:30 p.m. in the 1300 block of East Brookland Park Boulevard on Oct. 20. Thomas was taken to VCU Medical Center, where he died from his gunshot wounds.

Richmond Police Looking for Calvin R. Williams

Richmond Police needs the public’s help locating Calvin R. Williams, 21, of the 1000 block of West Nine Mile Road in Highland Springs.

Williams is wanted for conspiracy to commit murder in connection with the shooting of Brandon T. Thomas around 7:30 p.m. Oct. 20 in the 1300 block of East Brookland Park Boulevard. Thomas was taken to VCU Medical Center, where he died from his gunshot wounds.

Williams is a black male, 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 130 pounds.

Anyone who knows where police can find Williams is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.

Coach Charged with Possessing Child Porn

An investigation by the Richmond Police Internet Crimes Unit has resulted in the arrest of a local figure skating coach.

David K. Loncar, 46, of 3600 Waterside Court in Henrico has been charged with one count of possession of child pornography. He was arrested yesterday at his home by the Virginia State Police, assisted by Henrico County and Richmond Police. Loncar’s computers and other evidence were taken by investigators.

Loncar is an independent contractor who taught figure skating classes at Skate Nation. He is no longer associated with the facility.

Police Investigating Lovells Road Homicide

Richmond Police detectives are investigating the shooting death of a man in the 4700 block of Lovells Road.

Around 8:34 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, Richmond Police received reports of random gunfire on Lovells Road. When officers arrived, they found a male unresponsive with a gunshot wound outside an apartment. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators are working to positively identify the victim and notify next of kin.

Three unknown black males were reported seen leaving the area after the shooting in a dark-colored vehicle.
