Wharf Street Death Investigation
Yesterday at approximately 10:06 p.m., Richmond Police officers were called to the 3100 block of Wharf Street for the report of a person shot. Officers arrived and located an adult male seated in the front passenger seat of a parked vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
Officers also located a second adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital with injuries considered to be life threatening.
Detectives have determined the persons were known to each other and there is a possibility this incident is the result of an accidental shooting. The investigation continues.
