Victim Identified in Whitcomb Street Death Investigation
The
Richmond Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one person
dead and two others injured in the 2500 block of Whitcomb Street.
Last
night, at approximately 10:32 p.m., officers were called to the 2500 block
of Whitcomb Street for the report of a shooting. Once on scene, officers
located three males suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
All
three were transported to a local hospital for treatment. One male sustained
injuries considered non-life-threatening, while the injuries of the other two
males were considered life-threatening. Teandre Barbee, 19, of Henrico,
was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
The
Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
This
remains an ongoing investigation.
