Richmond Police are investigating a one vehicle crash that occurred about 2 a.m. in the 3800 block of Midlothian Turnpike.
A car, driven by Michael Anthony Dillard, 28, Richmond, was traveling east bound on Midlothian Turnpike when it wrecked, rolling onto its roof.
Dillard and a passenger, Michael Shantel Baker, 33, Richmond, were transported to VCU Medical Center with serious injuries.
The department’s Crash Team is continuing its investigation.
Speed was a contributing factor.
Midlothian Turnpike was closed for several hours but has now reopened.
