Richmond Police detectives are asking for the public’s help as they investigate a fatal shooting that occurred overnight on the city’s south side.
At approximately 12:09 a.m., officers responded to a call of
shots fired in the St. John’s Wood apartment complex. With minutes they
discovered the body of Ashley Davis, 33, of the 1000 block of Finchley Place
lying in the woods across the parking lot from an apartment building in the
1000 block of Finchley Place.
Anyone with information that may be helpful to the
investigation is asked to call Major Crimes Detective Jamie Baynes at 804
646-3617or Crime Stoppers at 780-1000. Citizens may also text Crime
Stoppers at 274637, using the key word “ITip” followed by your tip. Both
Crime Stoppers methods are anonymous.
