Quick Arrest Made in Attempted Bank Robbery in Hioaks Neighborhood

Richmond Police detectives have made a swift arrest in an attempted bank robbery which occurred this morning in the Hioaks neighborhood.

At approximately 9:20 a.m. this morning, an unknown adult male entered the Wells Fargo bank at 7012 Marlowe Road,
approached a bank teller, and passed a note demanding money. The suspect then fled the scene on foot. Soon afterward, the suspect was stopped by an officer and identified as the individual who was involved in the attempted robbery.

The suspect, James J. Regan, 35, was taken into custody without incident and charged with attempted robbery.
