Two Arrests Made in Lamb Avenue Shooting

The Richmond Police Department, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshal’s Regional Fugitive Task Force, have arrested two males on charges related to a shooting which occurred on Lamb Avenue last month. Booking photos are attached.
  •          Sharif A. Muhammad, 52, of the 3100 block of North Avenue was arrested charged with robbery and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
  •          John M. Singleton, 53, of the 3200 block of Jeter Avenue was arrested charged with robbery.
Additional charges are pending.

Shortly after 1 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, police were called to the 3000 block of Lamb Avenue for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they located an adult female suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Police were told two unknown males approached the victim and her friends while they were outside within the block in an attempted robbery. The two suspects then demanded several items and money and when she resisted, one of the suspects fired his weapon striking the victim. The suspects then fled the scene running northbound on Lamb Avenue.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. She has since been released.
