Suspect and Vehicle of Interest Sought in Chamberlayne Avenue Homicide

The Richmond Police Department is asking for the public’s help to locate a suspect and vehicle of interest in connection to a homicide that occurred on Chamberlayne Avenue.

At approximately 8:22 a.m. on Tuesday, October 6, officers were called to an apartment in the 3600 block of Chamberlayne Avenue for the report of a person down. Officers arrived and located Estelle Pugh suffering from trauma. She was pronounced on scene.

The vehicle of interest is a 2011 burgundy Chevrolet Equinox LT. The license plate is UYN-2968. Attached is a photo of the actual vehicle. A stock photo of the vehicle is also included. Detectives believe the vehicle was taken from the victim’s residence in the 3600 block of Chamberlayne Avenue within the past week.
