Victim Identified in Glenlea Avenue Death Investigation

Richmond Police detectives have identified the victim in yesterday’s death investigation in the Whitcomb neighborhood as At’taysiyah Dye, a female in her 20s.

At approximately 8:04 p.m., officers were called to the 2500 block of Glenlea Avenue for the report of a person down in a vehicle. Officers arrived and found Dye unresponsive in a vehicle that was parked on the street. Dye was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.

Dye had been reported missing last month by Henrico County Police. Richmond Police Department detectives are working with Henrico County Police detectives in this investigation.
