Victim Identified in North 20th Street Homicide

Richmond Police Department detectives have identified the victim in Sunday’s homicide as Kendall Forbey, 28, of Richmond.

At approximately 2:24 a.m., officers in the Shockoe Bottom neighborhood heard gunshots in the area of North 20th Street. Officers found an adult male, Forbey, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, unresponsive in the roadway in the 200 block of North 20th Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.

The shooting occurred as clubs in the area were closing. Patrons of the clubs and residents in the area are asked to contact detectives with information about any suspicious activity at the time.
