Investigators Seek Information in Fatal Collision Involving Pedestrian

The Richmond Police Department’s Crash Team is investigating a fatal hit and run that occurred this morning on Broad Rock Boulevard and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the driver and striking vehicle.

At approximately 2:15 a.m., Richmond Police were called to the 3200 block of Broad Rock Boulevard for the report of a hit and run. Officers arrived and found a pedestrian, an adult male, who had been struck and injured by a passing vehicle, which did not stop at the scene. He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injury.

The RPD Crash Team responded, collected evidence, took measurements and are investigating.

The suspect vehicle is believed to be a four-door Ford SUV, white in color, which will have front end damage on the passenger side.
