Person of Interest in Green Cove Drive Homicide Surrenders

The person of interest in the Green Cove Drive homicide that occurred two weeks ago has surrendered.

Yesterday, Montana Talbert, 36, of Henrico, surrendered at the Richmond Justice Center without incident. He was wanted in connection to the stabbing of Michael Cross, 42, of Petersburg.

Talbert has been charged with breaking and entering in connection to the fatal stabbing. Additional charges related to the incident are pending. His booking photo is attached.

At approximately 2:59 a.m. on Tuesday, June 29, officers were called to the 200 block of Green Cove Drive for the report of a stabbing. Officers arrived and found Cross suffering from an apparent stab wound. He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injury.
