Pedestrian Identified in Fatal Collision on Bells Road
The Richmond Police Department Crash Team has identified the pedestrian involved in the fatal collision on Bells Road last night as Angela Gibbs, 41, of Richmond.
Yesterday at approximately 10:53 p.m., officers were called to the 2900 block of Bells Road for the report of a vehicle striking a pedestrian. Officers arrived and found an adult female, Gibbs, down and unresponsive in the roadway. She was transported to a local hospital where last night she succumbed to her injuries.
The RPD Crash Team responded to the scene and determined Gibbs was walking in the roadway when she was struck by a vehicle. Two persons were in the striking vehicle and they remained at the scene.
The RPD Crash Team continues to investigate. At this time, charges have not been filed.
