The
Richmond Police Department has identified the victim in this morning’s homicide
on Mosby Street as Roddell L. Mayfield, 27, of the 700 block of Mosby
Street.
At
approximately 12:01 a.m., officers responded to the Jefferson Townhouses
in the 700 block of Mosby Street for the report of a shooting. When
police arrived they found Roddell L. Mayfield suffering from a gunshot
wound. He was taken to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. He
succumbed to his injuries shortly after.
The
Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
