Suspect Sought in North 5th Street Armed Robbery

Richmond Police detectives need the public’s help to identify the man in the photos who is suspected of robbing an individual on North 5th Street last week.

Just after 3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, the victim was walking northbound in the 200 block of North 5th Street when an unknown man approached him and asked to use his cell phone. While pulling out his phone, the victim accidently dropped money on the ground. The suspect pulled out a handgun, pointed it at the victim and demanded money. The suspect took the money and fled northbound on North 5th Street.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black hat with 1990 on the front bill.
