Suspect Sought in Commercial Burglary on West Broad Street

Richmond Police detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify the individual in the attached photos and video (sent separately), who is the suspect in a commercial burglary that occurred two weeks ago.

At approximately 4:17 a.m. on Thursday, April 16, security video shows the male suspect breaking the window of a business in the 4000 block of West Broad Street, entering and running behind the counter.  He then grabbed a plastic bag and put packs of cigarettes inside.  The suspect then ran out of the store in an unknown direction.

Suspect Sought in Commercial Burglary on Three Chopt Road

Richmond Police detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify the individual in the attached photo, who is the suspect in a commercial burglary that occurred last week.

At approximately 10:49 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, security video shows the male suspect breaking the window of a business in the 7000 block of Three Chopt Road, running inside and jumping on the counter.  He then put packs of cigarettes into a cardboard box he brought inside.  The suspect then ran out of the store toward Patterson Avenue.

The suspect was last seen wearing a white bandanna that covered his face, a black skull cap, a black long sleeve jacket, blue jeans, a white sneakers.

Suspect Sought in Commercial Robbery on Forest Hill Avenue

Richmond Police detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify the individual in the attached photos, who is the suspect in a commercial robbery that occurred last week.

At approximately 1:45 a.m. on Friday, April 24, an officer responded to a business in the 4800 block of Forest Hill Avenue for the report of a robbery that just occurred.  An unknown male suspect walked inside and acted like he was going to purchase two cigars.  The suspect then gave the clerk a handwritten note, which read “All I want is the money, I don’t want to hurt you”, before walking behind the counter and stealing an undisclosed amount of cash from the register.  He then walked out the front door in an unknown direction. 

The suspect was last seen wearing a dark blue coat, white pants with black markings, dark shoes, and a black cloth around his face.

Victim Identified in North 21st Street Homicide

The Richmond Police Department has identified the victim of Thursday’s homicide in the city’s East End as a 15-year-old male.  His family has asked that we not release his name.

The incident occurred on Thursday, April 23 at approximately 1:46 a.m. in the 1100 block of North 21st Street, where it intersects with R Street. Officers were in the area, heard several gunshots and as they responded, the Richmond Department of Emergency Communications received calls for a person shot.  Once on scene, they located the male victim in the street suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.  He was taken to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Detectives want to thank the public for their assistance in identifying this victim.

Appeal for Assistance to Identify Homicide Victim

The Richmond Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify the victim of yesterday’s homicide in the city’s East End.

The incident occurred at approximately 1:46 a.m. in the 1100 block of North 21st Street, where it intersects with R Street. Officers were in the area, heard several gunshots and as they responded, the Richmond Department of Emergency Communications received calls for a person shot.  Once on scene, they located the male victim in the street suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.  He was taken to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The victim is described as a black male, late teens to early 20s, 5’6” and 140 lbs., with a tattoo of the word “Family” on his left forearm (photo attached).  He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, navy blue hooded sweatshirt, white t-shirt, black sweatpants, and a watch (photo attached).

Also attached is a sketch of the victim’s face.

Redd Street Homicide – Arrest Made

Last night, at approximately 8:23 p.m., Thursday, April 23^rd , RPD officers were called to the 2100 block of Redd Street for a report of a person shot..

They arrived to find a 15 year old juvenile male lying in the roadway. He was transported to a local medical center where he was pronounced at 8:43 p.m.

The medical examiner will determine the official cause and manner of death.

RPD detectives have charged a 12 year old male with:

·       First Degree Murder,

·       Use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and

·       Possession of a firearm by a juvenile.

The Richmond Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing woman.

Elizabeth F. Dalton, 28, is missing after leaving a treatment center in the 3100 block of Ellwood Avenue.  She was last seen on November 8, 2019.  Her mother is very concerned for her safety.
