Arrest Made in Walmsley Boulevard Hit and Run

Richmond Police Hit and Run investigators have made an arrest in the hit and run that occurred on Walmsley Boulevard this month. Investigators arrested Austin Snipes, 33, of Richmond, and charged him with felony hit and run and reckless driving. His booking photo is attached.

At approximately 5 p.m., on Saturday, October 16, officers were called to the 3600 block of Walmsley Boulevard for the report of a hit and run. Officers arrived and found an adult male who reported he was walking eastbound alongside Walmsley Boulevard when he was struck by a vehicle that was traveling eastbound on Walmsley Boulevard. The vehicle did not stop at the scene.

Thanks to information provided by the community the striking vehicle was identified and the driver, Snipes, located.
