 Suspect Sought for Multiple Thefts of Lottery Tickets


Richmond Police detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the male in the attached photos who is a suspect in multiple larcenies of lottery tickets at locations throughout the city. 

Last month, employees at local convenience stores began reporting this male had entered their businesses and requested several scratch-off lottery tickets. When the clerk placed the lottery tickets on the counter, the suspect would ask the clerk for another item. While the employee was distracted, the suspect would grab the lottery tickets from the counter and run from the store. 

The suspect wore a distinctive light-colored hoodie with a photo of a young boy on the front and back. 

Below is a list of locations that have reported thefts from this suspect: 

·         December 20, 2024 - 200 block of West Main Street 

 

·         December 21, 2024 - 2800 block of West Broad Street 

 

·         December 21, 2024 - 1100 block of West Main Street 

 

·         December 22, 2024 - 2300 block of Chamberlayne Avenue 

 

·         December 28, 2024 - 1100 block of West Main Street 

 

·         December 21, 2024 - 2900 block of Patterson Avenue 

 

·         December 30, 2024 – 2900 block of Patterson Avenue 

 

·         December 31, 2024 – 5200 block of Chamberlayne Avenue 

 

·         January 3, 2025 – 2100 block of Semmes Avenue 

 

·         January 3, 2025 – 1200 block of Westover Hills Boulevard


·         January 7, 2025 – 5000 block of Brook Road 


·          January 11, 2025 – 3600 block of West Cary Street

 

·         January 19, 2025 – 2100 block of Semmes Avenue 

 

Detectives are currently working with VCU Police and investigators with the Virginia Lottery to identify and locate this suspect.
