Two Charged in Homicide of 5-Month-Old in August
Richmond Police detectives have charged two adults in connection to the homicide of a 5-month-old male which occurred last August.
On Tuesday, following a lengthy investigation, detectives arrested the parents of the child without incident. Jamel Bryant, 32, of Richmond, and Heather Hohensee, 27, of Richmond, have both been charged with murder and child abuse. Their booking photos are attached.
On Friday, August 2, 2024, officers were called to the 1000 block of German School Road for the report of an unresponsive child. Officers arrived and found the unresponsive child in the apartment. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
