Detectives Seek the Identity of Individual in Cold Case

Detectives Seek the Identity of Individual in Cold Case

Richmond Police detectives, working on a homicide case from several years ago, are asking the public for their assistance in identifying the person in the attached photos.

Detectives believe the individual in the photos has information which can help solve the homicide. To keep information received by the public as valuable as possible, detectives have chosen not to reveal which homicide case this is associated with or provide an exact date.

“This case may be cold but Major Crimes detectives have a determination to solve every investigation,” said Major Ronnie Armstead. “In renewing our approach to this case, detectives have decided that releasing this photo, while slightly unusual to do so without other details, is the best course of action. I applaud them for their perseverance in this matter.”

Based on the photos, the individual on the bicycle appears to be a black male who wore glasses, a navy blue bucket hat, blue jacket, black pants, black crossbody bag, and black and red Michael Jordan-style sneakers.

Anyone with information about the identity of this individual is asked to contact Detective Sergeant G. Wade (804) 646-0606 or Detective J. Crewell at (804) 646-5324. The P3 Tips Crime Stoppers app for smartphones also may be used or may call (804) 780-1000. All Crime Stoppers reporting methods are anonymous.
