Victim Identified, Arrest Made in Fatal Shooting in Hillside Court Neighborhood
Richmond Police detectives have identified the victim in the fatal shooting in the Hillside Court neighborhood on Sunday as Christopher Collins, III, 20, of Richmond, and detectives have made an arrest.
Shawna Lewis, 19, of Richmond, has been charged with voluntary manslaughter. Her booking photo is attached.
On Sunday at approximately 10:18 a.m., officers were called to the 1600 block of Glenfield Avenue for the report of shooting. Officers arrived and located an adult male, Collins, III, down and unresponsive in the structure. He had suffered an apparent gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital where later Sunday he succumbed to his injury.
Collins, III and Lewis both reside in the dwelling where the shooting occurred.
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
